Can't create iso. File too big.

Postby golinux » June 12th, 2018, 11:20 pm

I am unable to create an iso because the file is too big even with my entire home directory excluded. Is there a way to use this file without packing it into an iso?

Yes, there's a way to do it. You can copy the files from the refractasnapshot $work_dir/iso to the usb stick and then add the bootloader manually. I tried this last week, and it does work. I haven't had time to write up intelligible instructions for this, so I suggest an easier way to do it.

Run refracta2usb and create a bootable usb with an existing live iso. Then it will be an easy matter to copy the snapshot files to the usb and add an entry to the boot menu.
