It is similar, but not really like. That is: if you expect something like last.fm, where you can enter any "famous" artist which comes to mind, and will get a radio with similar music, then you will be disappointed.
vagalume is a gui-frontent, and during the last weeks i have come to like some of it's radios "tagged as" (usually rock or jazz, but that sure is not what i would hear at lastfm. Lets call it underground). The statistics are music from my home-collection, plaid with xmms2.

At the bottom of the home-page of libre.fm is a link to foocorp, which will give some further information (based on GNU fm, etc, etc...).

Yeah, I love music. My music folder has all sorts of stuff.
I mostly listen to old bands like Journey, Aerosmith, Scorpions, Metallica and Guns 'n Roses. They sure don't make 'em like they used to...and that's coming from a a guy in his twenties.

I do not have any play lists on my computer. I still play music in a CD player. :shock:
At this very moment I am listening to some very beautiful music. A few birds are serenading me outside my window. :D
In the beginning there was only the darkness of the void.
Then Mez said, "Let there be DFN." And it was done.
{After many years.}
Then Mez said, "Let my angels of colour spread the news of my glory afar."
And it is being done.

I recently recorded "the Last Days of the Fillmore" and decided on a bit of nostalgia last night so gave it a whirl. I was living in the Bay Area during those 'heady' years so very much a part of my history. It all seems so unimportant after more than 40 years. But I would neither change a thing or want to travel back in time. The present moment is my abiding.
