Wake from suspend broken

Postby mycae » August 14th, 2019, 10:43 pm

Hi,

After upgrading to debian 10, wake from suspend no longer works, but only if I leave the computer suspended for some time. For example, if I simply issue:

Code: Select all
systemctl suspend

then it suspends fine, and I can wake it no troubles.

However, if I do the same thing, then wait for a few hours and come back, my system is hard powered off, and has to be fully rebooted.

I'm using encryption (LUKS), and prior to the upgrade I did not have this problem - so its not solely a hardware issue. I've tried masking hibernate and hybrid suspend, and this doesn't work
Code: Select all
systemctl mask  hibernate.target hybrid-sleep.target

Hibernation should be disabled, but it seems to still try to hibernate.
Code: Select all
#cat /etc/systemd/sleep.conf
[Sleep]
# suspend
AllowSuspend=1
AllowHibernation=0
AllowSuspendThenHibernate=0
AllowHybridSleep=0

Manually forcing hibernation with:
Code: Select all
systemctl hibernate

takes down networkmanager, but doesn't hibernate the computer. Restarting the networkmanager service seems to get me back to a normal state.

Anything I am missing??

EDIT: /var/log/messages doesn't seem t have much that I can see. The suspend works, then the system appears to be off.

Code: Select all
