Wine problem. [SOLVED]

Postby Giorgos » June 16th, 2015, 2:15 pm

Hi guys!
Glad for joining you!
:D

I'm running Jessie x64 KDE.
Was someone able, to successfully install Wine?

I just installed it, but I'm getting this error message:
Code: Select all
~>winecfg
cat: /home/giorgos/.wine/system.reg: No such file or directory
/usr/bin/winecfg: 32: exec: winecfg.exe: not found
~>

Seems like it's some problem related to the bugs 734253 and 739863.
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=734253
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=739863

Any thoughts?
TIA! :D
G.

EDIT:

It is actually the bug 784280:
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=784280

(After installing Wine), you have to enter (only once) at konsole "wine winecfg".
After that, the necessary config files are creating and wine works as expected.

Many thanks to Jens Reyer, for pointing me to the right direction! :D
