autoreconf

im trying to run autoreconf commad. however it says Command not found. So tried installing autoconf using apt-get. however it says:

>>Package autoconf is not available, but is referred to by another package.
>>This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or is only available from another source

>>E: Package 'autoconf' has no installation candidate

so whats next??

It's in the squeeze, wheezy and sid repositories. http://packages.debian.org/squeeze/autoconf

Thanks, i found the package..
but when i try to run 'autoreconf -i' it throws an error :
Can't exec "aclocal": No such file or directory at /usr/share/autoconf/Autom4te/FileUtils.pm line 326.
autoreconf: failed to run aclocal: No such file or directory


any suggestions??
