Debian 9.6 support for WiFi

Postby donalp_crowley » August 26th, 2019, 8:27 pm

Issue: I have tried, in vain to get WiFi running on an Intel NUK using Debian 9.6:

Debian Kernel: 4.9.130
WiFi: Intel Wireless AC-9560.

The issue I have is that I need the Debian kernel to stay at 4.9.130, however the AC-9560 according to Intel needs a kernel 4.14+.

Questions:
1.) Has anyone else cone across a similar problem and if so were they able to get around it somehow ?
2.) Did anyone try using a WiFi dongle to get around this problem, and if so what did they use ?
3.) Did anyone encounter any issues in creating multiple IP aliases on the Physical Ethernet port to help create multiple IP addresses --
