I'm using a refracta live-usb and an ssd[sda] . Using refractainstaller.

at first it was asking (is dev/ mounted? ) but now it gives this.

the live-usb has the esp32 IDF on it but that shouldn't cause problems, nor do I care because it's getting remade, but digging thru old refracta.iso will be a pain, lol

I don't know what the rsync errors are about. I also don't understand the grub errror mentioning multiple partition tables. Is it gpt or dos partition table? UEFI boot or bios?

The grub warning about embedding appears if there's not enough free space after the mbr for the stage2 code. Gparted normally leaves 1mb free before the first partition. Looks like you don't have that free space.

My guess is that a re-partition and re-install will be faster than trying to move the partition.

Using mdos and bios. I'm thinking it's a sort of problem with the ssd since it won't accept installing a bootloader from ubuntu as well. Then again, debian9 worked.
