encryption while installation

Postby ltoso » October 24th, 2016, 2:49 am

i was trying to install debian 8, and i got the option to create encrypted LVM, Now when i looked carefully there are two options encrypted LVM partition and encrypted disks. I want to protect my data even in the case where somebody takes away the hard disk or the system with himself. So what that means is he/she has total access to my system and hard disk. i don't want him to be able to access my data without knowing some authentication details. so what should i opt for encrypted LVM partition or encrypted disks.

Please recommend.
