Error while netinstall wheezy using a local repo

Postby yogesh1978 » October 9th, 2013, 2:18 pm

Greetings!!

I am trying to net-install wheezy using the enclosed preseed file and have setup a local repository. For creating a local repository, i have copied the DVD contents i local file system. My kernel parameter includes debian-installer/allow_unauthenticated=true which is allowing installer to ignore the Release.gpg file.

When the installer starts, i'm getting following error message Input Critical apt-setup/service-failed.

The repository on <ipaddress> couldn't be accessed, so its updates will not be made available to you at this time. You should investigate it later. Commented out entries <ipaddress> have been added to the /etc/apt/sources.list file.

If i click continue on the message box, installer continues with the successful installation. Please guide me in resolving this error to attain a full automatic installation.

Note : I'm setting this mirror on a non-debian operating system so i dont have option of choosing any debian command for setting up the repository.

Re: Error while netinstall wheezy using a local repo

any news on that one?
I run into the same problem

I am installing debian from just a cd mirror (via cobbler). the installation works fine in general, however I end up with the same anoying errormessage, which I just can click away and the installation goes on. However the question interrupts my automated installation.

I realy do not understand why debian is anyway tring to add a no configured repo (stretch-updates), neither I do not understrand why it assumes updates within a base repo (cd mirror) as there simply are non of course.

In my preseeded config I tried to get rid of this error message by the following commands, however non works so far:

d-i apt-setup/disable-cdrom-entries true
d-i apt-setup/mirror/error Ignore

Are there any other option which I can use to passby this error ?
