xpdf printing wrong orientation

xpdf has started to print in landscape orientation without any prompt from me. I have tried adding a few options to lpr but nothing worked. Also had a look at /etc/xpdfrc but nothing jumped out at me. Is anyone else seeing this? And any ideas how to get it printing the right way? On Squeeze BTW with no mixing of stuff from backports etc.
