Present of this Forum

Activity on this board has heated up. We had seven active discussions in the past two days. Four of them regarded administration, two were system-related and one was the screen shot thread.

I have noticed that we talk a lot about administration around here, so -- for a change of pace -- I ask the membership to:
  • post screenshots
  • show off their programming talent
  • talk politics
  • engage in flame wars
  • have fun
Cheers!,

Bite me, you pinko commie bastard! Add that to your little list! ;)
Hey, that was a killer one-liner in the programming thread. I happily stole it and it proved useful.

Yep, pretty calm around here. Maybe we need some incompetent members who have no idea how to google or edit their sources.list?

Help! I added a mish-mash of 'buntu repositories to my sources.list and ran apt-get dist upgrade, now my computer has smoke and sparks coming out of the vents, and x won't start. Can someone help me fix this? I insist that all replies be super nice and consist of simple words, or better yet commands that I can copy & paste into the terminal. (Just as soon as someone can explain what a terminal is and how to conjure one.) I'd thank you in advance, but since I know y'all get paid for helping, I'll skip the gratitude this time.

(Please note that I deliberately put this in the wrong section...now I'll double post somewhere else randomly...)

I propose a vote on remanding this errant member to the Troll Cave because he posted an ubuntu rant in the discussion section.
