fsmithred put together an 'unofficial' iso based on Devuan a few weeks ago. You can find it here. iso made with refractasnapshot, of course.
May the FORK be with you!

I don't come here very often, so I just saw this thread.

The refracta tools are still maintained. refractainstaller, refractasnapshot and refracta2usb.

The unofficial devuan that nauved linked is not a refracta release. It's just a live version of the devuan alpha2 with three of the four vestigial systemd packages removed and the refracta tools installed.

There is an unofficial refracta jessie based on devuan plus nosystemd packages from angband and exegnu repos that dzz put together. It's the closest thing to previous versions of refracta, and you can find it here -
http://exegnulinux.net/refracta/iso/
http://distro.ibiblio.org/refracta/files/Testing/

Oh, the exegnulinux site has a later snapshot. I don't know what changes he made to it.

And there are also a few experimental isos I made of jessie without systemd, with openbox and with a few packages pinned to the wheezy versions. There are also No-X versions in i386 and amd64. No desktop or window manager, most of the command line utilities that were in previous versions of refracta, and I might have added wpasupplicant and wireless-tools. Can't remember for sure. These were built from a minimal (standard system) install of wheezy, *systemd* and a couple other packages pinned to not install, and then upgraded to jessie.
Those are here - http://sourceforge.net/projects/refracta/files/testing/

When devuan goes beta, I expect I'll start putting together an official refracta based on jessie.

Oh, the exegnulinux site has a later snapshot. I don't know what changes he made to it.

Mostly just updated packages, a newer 64-bit version and one running eudev. None have *systemd* components, all have consolekit2 and refracta tools.

It's the best package list I could work out for a reasonable-featured iso with xfce4 but still <700MB.

I recently made a live usb with one of the exe-refracta builds for a friend, because it was the only iso I had with me at the time. This was a workaround for a dead hard drive. It's working fine for her.

Update on refracta:

There are six isos in the testing folder at sourceforge, i386 and amd64 versions of the following, all based on Devuan alpha. No systemd-anything or libsystemd-anything or anything-systemd. (except udev).
https://sourceforge.net/projects/refrac ... s/testing/
nox - No X
jessie-sysv - openbox, lxpanel, lxterminal, spacefm
xfce4-beta - xfce4 (no gvfs, therefore no trash and no removable drive icons popping up.)
