More confusing than it seems. If you're a pirate, your license remains "non-genuine"—what does that even mean?

As far as I can tell, they're just being clumsy about saying they're making it available on the same terms as the updates pirated copies of Windows already get. So they're giving it away to all consumers, but not anything behind a WGA paywall.

By making updates available to all consumers, customers and pirates alike, their customers should feel cheated.
Klingons are fun, but Romulans are the sexiest women in the galaxy.
