Devuan release roadmap

Postby golinux » January 4th, 2015, 4:15 pm

Just in case you're not on the mailing list, here's the Devuan release roadmap. So we'll have something to play with by the end of January! Progress also being made on vdev that Jude Nelson is working on. Interesting discussions on the mailing list and irc channels if you have the time and interest to follow.
May the FORK be with you!

I have never figured out exactly what/when they are going to pull off...

As far as what that post talks about, pretty sure all that is possible right now using adams repo or the trios repo.

The first ISO is scheduled for release on the 31st. So we shall find out in a week if things are progressing as planned.

Their repository was supposed to be on GitHub, but:
This organization has no public repositories.

repos moved to https://git.devuan.org

However, the Devuan website has:
Looking for news? read the latest update (22 December 2014).

So my guess is they are behind schedule. Imagine that.

So they've moved the code from github to their own servers and now require account registration to see what's going on...

And there has been no update on progress for 1 month + ....

Very encouraging, good luck with that one...

(Oh but no I'm sure there's a lot of chat going on in IRC about it...)

As for hoaxes and downright lies or false claims - anything is possible on the web. Devuan could be all of those and until they actually produce something, that's all they appear to be.

Naivety and gullibility on the web will get you into a world of shit.
